Workshop: Saturday afternoon and Sunday

This “Basket Forms and Sculpture” workshop will focus on off-loom fiber techniques, especially coiling, with an introduction to twining and knotting. The thread we will be using is made of waxed linen that comes from flax, and wrapping techniques will be used to create a free standing object . Students have the option to bring something they have made to share with the group. Come prepared to create your own original free standing form with the guidance of a master fiber artist. There is a limit of 15 participants for this workshop.

Workshop fee: $45.00 for Full SCHG Members, $65.00 for nonmembers and Subscribers. . Materials fee: $25 payable to the workshop coordinators.
