The November Show will include a Guild Challenge exhibit. Your piece must include the following three parameters:
You have all summer to use the above to create a remarkable piece. You are not limited to weaving, but may use any fiber media (interpret the word "weft" creatively) including basketry, knitting, hand made paper, felt, etc. Include the parameters in a piece that's functional or not; create a garment, scarf, basket, placemat, a large sample, or anything else. This is a challenge, not a competition, so the work will not be judged and there will be a little goodie for each entrant. Pieces will be due at the October meeting.
What have we been doing in all those guild workshops the past few years? What programs have inspired us to weave? You'll have time this summer to finish that piece on the loom even if it's been there for two years. This exhibit will show both our workshop samples and finished pieces as well as work done as a result of attending a workshop or program. Pieces will be collected at the October meeting.
Here's a reminder of the recent workshops we've had so you can gather up your work.
