What am I weaving: I am working on a series of tapestries portraying each of the planets in our solar system. Thank goodness, Pluto was relegated to 'non-planet' status before I started weaving! You can follow my progress on this and other projects on my blogs.

Janel is currently working on color effects, and is primarily a spinner and dyer. She's just learning about weaving and very interested to learn more.
Karen LeckartKaren currently serves as our 2006-07 President. She has been weaving for over 40 years and is also a member of Seaside Weavers. As to current projects, "On which loom? Many projects that are due shortly; guild booth project, presents and trials for other projects to come. I must always have something 'next' to weave. SCHG is a guild that I have been a member of on and off for more than 30 years. Most recently, in the last 10 years, I have been 'on'. I have come to know many different weavers and enjoy being with them in workshops or working at making the guild a fun place to be. We have extraordinary talents among us. I am pleased and proud to be this year's President."
Barbara Minear Barbara has served as the Guild's Treasurer. Barbara says:
My mother started weaving when she retired, but I wasn't the least bit interested, although I loved knitting, crocheting, and embroidery. Several years after she died I saw a gorgeous multi-colored long "vest" (my "Joseph" coat) at the Santa Monica Arts and Crafts show -- and my husband bought it for me. Two months later (December, 1992) we got Mom's "Dorothy" loom out of my sister's attic in Connecticut and shipped it home. Soon I found a weaving class at Barnsdahl Park; I used Mom's loom so I didn't have to wait until Saturday to weave -- I was hooked!
Debra Nelson Debbie Nelson is an active member who has recently organized some of our guild programs and workshops, and taught a workshop to help us get ready for the 1999 ASCH Conference Booth.
Sally Ann Raskoff is hospitality chair
Michael Rohde See Michael's website for images and more about this rugweaver.

Some of Ann's other recent projects include baby blankets, and currently she is weaving a scarf on a small Structo loom, some bookmarks (to use in Christmas cards) on an inkle loom, a chenille throw and a scarf. Ann is quite a prolific weaver!
Delores Waldron Fashion Show Coordinator at a couple of past fall Show & Sale events
Anna Zinsmeister "I learned to weave at Immaculate Heart College in Los Angeles in 1972 and have been weaving ever since." Anna has been a member of the guild for many years and has served on several board positions including President.
